Nomad Dashboard is not a heavy system monitor. It is a compact read on whether the current setup is workable.

Connectivity

Connection quality and internet reachability

  • Internet reachability state.
  • Passive download and upload throughput.
  • Latency and jitter checks.
  • Wi-Fi context such as interface, SSID, signal, noise, and transmit rate when available.
  • VPN activity detection.

Shipped in the recent `v0.6.x` cycle, project time tracking is now a real part of the product story. It stays local to the Mac, can be disabled entirely, and is designed for consultants, freelancers, and remote operators who want less friction than a full timesheet tool.

Local-first

Project time tracking stores projects, exact entries, and runtime state locally on the Mac. Visited places and country-day history also stay local unless the user moves data themselves.

Feature control

Location-aware features are optional where relevant, external IP geolocation can be disabled, and project time tracking can be turned off entirely.
